2013 Gibson Midtown Standard Bass Ebony

Up for sale, a gorgeous and rare nowadays 2013 Gibson Midtown Bassin Ebony in excellent condition. Made in USA in 2013, with its original hard case and tags.

Lightweight at just 8.6 lbs. 34″ scale. Semi-hollow, chambered body with F-holes.

Barely used. 100% Stock, original and classic Vintage Ebony (Black) finish. It has a classic Mahogany body with Maple top the classic 3 point bridge. The electronics consists of a Vintage-Style TB Plus (Alnico II) neck pickup and a Vintage-Style TB Mini (Ceramic 8×4) Bridge pickup. Controls are pretty simple: Master Volume and master Tone with a 3-way pickup toggle switch.

It has a traditional and rounded Gibson bass neck profile with a Mortise & Tenon joint type of set neck, a classic Gibson. A beautiful piece of Mahogany and Rosewood fingerboard, 12″ radius, binding and acrylic dots, Grover tuners, nut width is 1.6″. The neck is perfectly straight (truss rod  works perfect as expected) and without any fret issues, currently set low and it really plays like a dream.

These Gibson Midtown Standard are discontinued, however still high on demand. It’s basically a larger scale (34″) version of an EB-2.

Aesthetically, The bass is really clean, with very minimal wear however it’s in great overall shape and fully functional. The instrument has been used or played with the utmost care. It comes with  its original brown tolex case with its tags, warranty info card and Allen wrench. It’s professionally set with low action, strung with a fresh set of D’addario Nickel 0.45-.100″ and it plays amazingly well.
